Device Plug-ins are rules files that define how NetOmnia^TM interacts with a specific device.

It simplifies the life of the NOC staff while introducing new technology or adding new devices to the system. The NOC staff is not required to understand the device information, correlation rules or management technology. To update a Plug-in, the NOC staff simply moves the Plug-in file to the appropriate folder on the server and processing begins immediately. The rules file is defined using XML, thus making it simple to customize if required.
