Anand Gonuguntla, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Anand Gonuguntla, Co-founder and CEO of Centina Systems, has more than 20 years’ experience in the telecom and software industry. As CEO, Anand oversees all strategic planning and execution of the company’s corporate, sales and product initiatives. Under Anand’s leadership, in just 10 years, the company underwent global expansion and has been recognized by leading analyst firms such as Gartner and Frost & Sullivan. The company was also ranked by Deloitte as one of the fastest growing companies in America and has achieved 314% growth from 2009 through 2013. These accolades are a validation of Centina’s enterprising spirit and its commitment to it’s core values.
Prior to Centina Systems, Anand held leadership positions at Xtera Communications and Fujitsu Network Communications. Anand also holds patents in the area of network management and is well published in the communications industry. He received his master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Dakota and a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India.
Phillip Doelling, Co-Founder & CTO
Phillip, Co-founder and CTO of Centina Systems, has more than 15 years’ experience in the telecom, IT, OSS and software industries. Until 2013, Phillip was responsible for the R&D and has overseen the design and development of NetOmnia product from the inception of the Company. In his current role as CTO, Phillip focusses on critical initiatives such as SDN/NFV and virtualized world.
Prior to Centina Systems, Phillip has held leadership positions at Alcatel, Iris Labs and Xtera Communications and has repeatedly led efforts to transform and develop new OSS technologies. Phillip holds a Bachelor’s degree in Compute Science from the University of North Texas.
Donald J. Wadas, Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Don Wadas has more than 20 years of sales and sales management experience, focused in the telecom software market, providing market leading solutions to tier one and tier two service providers worldwide. He joined Centina Systems in 2013 as VP of Worldwide Sales to drive sales growth and oversee global expansion, as well as build new industry partnerships for the Company.
Prior to Centina, Don held executive sales and marketing positions at Telcordia where he headed up their Next Generation OSS (NGOSS) sales team, Amdocs, SPATIALinfo, Brix Networks and Granite Systems. At these companies, Don was responsible for building high performance global sales teams, accelerating sales results, and closing significant contracts. Don has been managing worldwide organizations for the past 10 + years, selling internationally both direct and through channels. Don holds a masters degree in Business Administration from DePaul University.
Gregg Hara, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing
Gregg Hara has over 20 years in the telecom and OSS software space and joined Centina Systems in 2009. He takes the initiative of defining new markets and establishing relationships with key service providers and vendors.
Prior to Centina Systems, Gregg was Senior Director of Sales for Sigma Systems and earlier, with TeleGea Systems. Gregg started his career at GTE and was one of the original members of OSI, and then at Micromuse, in various roles of solution delivery, sales and business development of Network Management and Service Assurance solutions.
Gregg holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from MIT in Cambridge, MA.
Rui Freire, Director, Deployment & Support
Bringing more than 12 years’ experience in the telecom space, Rui Freire is the Director of Deployment and Support for Centina Systems. In this position, he focuses on ensuring all customers receive the highest level of support and ensuring that sustainable processes are implemented.
Before joining Centina Systems, Rui worked for AIRCOM International with a focus on large database warehouses and their collection of performance statistics. In addition to managing resources, scheduling resources and supporting presales, Rui would project manage most of AIRCOM’s deployments, ensuring delivery was on time and within budget and managing the customers’ expectations.
Rui received his BSC in Computer Science & Information Systems from the University of South Africa.
Madhu Rao, Senior Director & Site Leader
Having over 15 years of experience, Madhu focuses on ensuring all customers receive the highest level of support, ensuring that sustainable processes are implemented and providing customers with training as needed. In addition, he is responsible for the site leadership of the entire India operations, managing the day to day activities. Madhu has been with Centina Systems for nearly 9 years working in various capacities ranging from managing projects in R&D to holding the position of Director, R&D in which he was responsible for timely delivery of various customer projects.
Before joining Centina Systems, Madhu Rao was a Project Manager with Infosys Technologies Ltd. which is a leading services company in India. He worked with Cisco and Telstra to help build their OSS solution.
He holds a B.E. in Telecommunication from the B.M.S College of Engineering in Bangalore, India.
Jason Hockett, Director of Finance and Administration
With 15 years of finance experience, Jason Hockett joined Centina Systems in 2014 as the Director of Finance and Administration. He has worked for early stage, venture backed and start-up companies in the technology, telecommunications and healthcare industries. As a seasoned financial executive, Jason is effective in high-growth environments and has a keen ability to identify key business drivers and focus management on achieving sales and cost targets.
Jason received his MBA, Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas, Naveen Jindal School of Management.
Paul Pantages, Co-Founder
As one of the founding members of Centina Systems and former CTO, Paul brings over 21 years of experience in the telecom and network management industry. Prior to founding Centina Systems, Paul worked at Xtera focusing on embedded system architecture of a multiprocessor distributed system.
Paul’s work experience also includes tenures at Cisco and Nortel. At Cisco, Paul worked on ONS 15454 platforms at Fujitsu on FLASHWAVE and FACTOR product lines.
With a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Paul holds multiple patents in network management and software architecture.
Carl A. DeWilde
Carl A. DeWilde served as Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Strategy of Tellabs Inc. from August 22, 2007 to May 30, 2008. Mr. DeWilde served as Executive Vice President of Broadband Products of Tellabs Inc. since 2005 and served as Executive Vice President of Access Products of Tellabs Inc., since 2004. He had global responsibility for Tellabs’ fiber access and data products, including research and development, product line management and product-specific marketing. He served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer of Xtera Communications, Inc. from 2000 to 2004, where he set corporate strategy and launched new products. He served as Senior Vice President of Development at Fujitsu Network Communications from 1992 to 2000. Previous to this, Mr, DeWilde held leadership positions at both Alcatel and Siemens.
T. Curtis Holmes
From 2001 through 2003, Holmes was President and COO and from 2003 through 2006, President and CEO of MetaSolv Software, a leading provider of service fulfillment operations support system solutions, and orchestrated the acquisitions of MetaSolv Software by Oracle in 2006. Prior to Metsolv Software, Holmes led the Lucent Intelligent Network Unit, where he developed and executed a strategic plan that successfully transformed the unit into the market-leader in the intelligent market industry. The unit expanded from 300 employees to more than 1,200 during his leadership and grew its revenue five-fold. Major initiatives during Holmes’ tenure included defining and deploying enhanced services software, expanding into global markets, and securing new customers. Previously, he held executive-level positions at Lucent including product and business management and product development for global operations support systems.
Terry Hungle has over 25 years of business experience, principally in telecommunications. Most recently, Terry was Chief Financial Officer of Navini Networks, where he led the successful sale of the company to Cisco Systems. Prior to that he was Vice President of Corporate Planning with Spatial Wireless , where he led the successful merger transaction with Alcatel. Previous to the Spatial Wireless engagement Terry successfully held a number of senior finance and controllership positions, both domestically and internationally, including that of chief financial officer for Nortel Networks. In these positions, he has guided and supported business growth and development, defined business structures and led projects that improved overall liquidity of the company, in operations and capital structuring. He has served as a valued member of various boards of directors and sub-committees.
